The Project

Inclusive-Uni

The ERASMUS+ project Inclusive-Uni: Promoting Inclusive Campuses for Equity and Diversity focuses on inclusion in higher education and is part of the ERASMUS+ program.

Inclusive universities are important because they create integrative learning environments where people from different backgrounds, abilities, and life experiences can come together to learn, grow, and thrive. Their aim is to provide equal opportunities for all students — regardless of ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, physical abilities, or other characteristics — so that everyone has the chance to reach their full potential.

By welcoming diverse perspectives, inclusive universities enrich the learning process, encourage intercultural exchange, and foster acceptance and tolerance. Accessibility and innovation are equally central. The Inclusive Uni project develops inclusive learning approaches in the European context, bringing together different perspectives on inclusion and integrating them into courses and seminars, supported by digital solutions.

Objectives and Beneficiaries

Shaking hands to show the partners of the project work together as well as with academic and non-academic staff at the universities.

The Inclusive Uni project promotes a more inclusive campus environment by developing practical methods, course content, and approaches for use in the classroom. The main focus is on academic staff—faculty members, researchers, and instructors—who play a key role in applying inclusive practices in their teaching. At the same time, the project also addresses non-academic and administrative staff, who often face the challenges of diversity but rarely receive training. Beyond the campus, policymakers, and educational institutions will benefit from the project’s outcomes.
