Hasan Çağlar Başol is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Translation and Interpreting at Kahramanmaraş İstiklal University, Kahramanmaraş-Türkiye. He holds an MA in English Language and Literature and a PhD in English Language Teaching, with a specialization in Intercultural Communication.
His international experience includes a Fulbright FLTA scholarship at Michigan State University, Department of Linguistics and Germanic, Slavic, Asian, and African Languages, as well as doctoral research at the UCL Institute of Education through the Erasmus program. He has taught a diverse range of courses, including Applied Linguistics, Translation in Foreign Policy and Diplomacy, Intercultural Communication, and Critical Reading and Writing. He has also served as an associate editor and section editor for various academic journals and has published in multiple journals.
Currently, his research interests include applied linguistics, intercultural communication, teacher education, and gender equality and inclusion.
